As countries and cultures all over the world celebrate the Spring Festival, Kraft Horse Walker USA is recovering from the year’s unusually harsh winter.
We’re all looking forward to warmer weather.
This year’s celebrations are special to owner Uwe Kraft and his daughter Anabell – they visited China earlier this year.
Kraft Horse Walker represented equine innovation at the Hidden Champion Forum (a conference of German world market leaders) hosted by Beijing.
The company’s own Ms. Li Wang accompanied Uwe and Anabell on a tour of famous landmarks and sights, including the Great Wall (of course.) They took a boat ride on the Slender West Lake – floating under the famous Five Pavillion Bridge, built in 1757 for the Qianlong Emperor’s visit – the national park in Yangzhou.
Our trio also toured the Hong Kong Jockey Club, to the north of the city – the largest racist outfit in the entire world, with six racecourses and capacity for over 2000 horses at all their branches.
The club was established in 1814 – now with over 23,000 members, its Charity trust is one of the world’s biggest non-profit donors. The club also oversees a college with a service industry focus, and the Museum of Climate Change, committed to environmental conversation.
Kraft is Honored to have installed fifteen horse walkers at this esteemed equine complex.
One of the highlights of the trip was the food, from the elegant banquet of many courses and drinks between – Uwe was especially fond of the duck – to the street vendors serving delicious shrimps.
(Some traditional Chinese New Year foods are a whole steamed fish with head and tail intact, and dumplings. Yum!)
2026 is designated by the zodiac as the Year of the Fire Horse, with energies of bold action and fast transformation, and portents of big life shifts with forward career momentum.
Uwe has embraced this spirit with his decision to leave the German headquarters in the hands of Anabell (now the CEO of the Honhardt facility) and relocate to the USA.
He brings his engineering experience and business sense into his to increase the company’s reach to the US equestrian market and community, and his love of horses to the design of equipment to further equine health and exercise.
“And I’ve always loved Kentucky,” Uwe says, with a grin.
Kraft USA would particularly like to celebrate the Sixth Day of the Spring Festival, falling this year on February 22nd with all our customers, vendors and friends – Horse’s Day – an annual cleansing to dispel the ghosts of unfortunate circumstances and bring prosperity and a rich life into the new year.
